About the Journal
Presentation
The Journal of Innovation and Science: research and application - JOINS is a publication by Facens University Center that aims to publish articles by researchers, professors, undergraduate/graduate students, and professionals in the fields of engineering, architecture and urban planning, technology, health, and other related areas, whether affiliated with Facens or not.
It is a free-access electronic journal of technical-scientific interest that aims to present the most recent results of research conducted by institutions that focus on the mentioned areas and are at the frontier of knowledge. Thus, it proposes to be an instrument of fast dissemination, unrestricted access to professionals and researchers, and a strong tool for generating partnerships and collaborative research, as researchers increasingly seek to join forces in order to enhance their results.
Innovation is a key word for all those who seek JOINS, not only as a way to disseminate their research, but also to present it to more than 500 partner institutions of Facens, which will have access to and follow this scientific journal. These institutions are located in Brazil and abroad, and include government agencies, companies, and universities.
The journal aims to serve as a platform for scientific dissemination with an external reach, open to publishing articles from research institutions across Brazil and around the world. At the same time, it values and encourages the publication of research developed by our students and faculty, who have been standing out in cutting-edge studies based on the collaboration model between universities, industry, and government. In this context, the triple helix approach is becoming increasingly strategic and is strongly promoted in JOINS publications.
We hope that readers, authors, and reviewers appreciate the format of JOINS and that the journal continues to gain relevance and visibility in the coming months and years. In today’s scientific landscape, where speed and quality are essential, rapid publication tools with high-quality content are crucial for sharing ideas, fostering partnerships, and advancing scientific research.
The Journal of Innovation and Science: research and application - JOINS is a biannual publication, in volume.
The first issue is published from September to December, and the second from April to June.
