Urban mobility is a growing challenge in cities, directly affecting quality of life and the environment. The increase in private vehicles leads to congestion, pollution, and high transportation costs, making the development of more sustainable and accessible solutions essential. The TIPCAR project – Individual Passenger Transport via Paid Ride-Sharing – proposes an application aimed at the academic community, enabling route sharing among students, professors, and staff. The initiative seeks to optimize vehicle usage, reduce individual expenses, and help decrease pollutant emissions. In addition to facilitating transportation, TIPCAR promotes engagement through a rewards system in which users earn points for each trip and can exchange them for benefits. Thus, the project combines technology, sustainability, and collaboration, encouraging a culture of smarter and more conscious mobility within the university environment.
