Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting in Urban Areas
Keywords:
Piezoelectric energy, Renewable sources, Urban sustainabilityAbstract
Cities are growing rapidly, increasing energy demand, which is still largely supplied by non-renewable sources. In this scenario, it becomes essential to seek sustainable alternatives. Piezoelectricity emerges as an innovative solution by converting the pressure exerted by pedestrians and vehicles into electrical energy, enabling this resource to be harnessed in high-traffic urban areas to promote greener and more efficient cities.
