Abstract

The city of Sorocaba has been facing recurring flooding problems during periods of heavy rain, affecting traffic, safety, and residents’ daily routines. To help mitigate these impacts, this project proposes an Intelligent Flood Monitoring System, specifically developed for the municipality’s needs. Through the use of sensors and automation technologies, the system will be able to identify flood-prone areas in real time and issue preventive alerts to the population and city administration, contributing to a rapid and efficient response in risk situations.
