Power Flow Study
Analysis of the New Power Flow in the Branches and of the Losses
Keywords:
Power flow, Electric power systems, Meshed network, SustainabilityAbstract
Power flow analysis is essential for the planning, operation, and control of electric power systems, as it allows the determination of steady-state conditions such as voltages, phase angles, and active and reactive power flows in all branches and buses. These parameters are fundamental for assessing the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical networks.
In this study, a simulation of a meshed five-bus network was carried out using the ANAREDE software, with the objective of analyzing and comparing the system’s behavior under different operating conditions. Active and reactive power flows and total losses were evaluated in two distinct scenarios: a base case and another with the insertion of new generators.
