Abstract

The generation of an electric power system (EPS) must have the capacity and availability to deliver, at all times, the power required both by load demand and by system losses.

Analyzing different EPS scenarios through power flow studies makes it possible to reduce losses, optimize generation, and ensure adequate and secure supply. According to Bichels (2018), power flow analysis is one of the most powerful tools for studying an EPS.
