Simulation and Analysis of the New Voltage Profile in a Five-Bus System

Maintaining an adequate voltage profile is essential for the safe and efficient operation of electric power systems. Voltage variations compromise supply quality and can cause losses and instability. Recent studies indicate that the insertion of distributed generation (DG) can improve the voltage profile when properly allocated. In this context, the ANAREDE software was used to simulate and analyze the behavior of a five-bus system, observing the impact of adding a 50 MW generator per phase on system balance and stability at different points in the network. This comparison makes it possible to identify changes in voltage levels, active and reactive power flows, and angular stability, contributing to the understanding of the effects of local generation on overall system equilibrium.
