Analysis of Harvester Bearing Production Through the Casting Process

The project presents a materials and process analysis for the production of a bearing for agricultural harvesters. The bearing is an essential mechanical component in the structural and functional assembly of harvesters, whose main function is to support and guide rotating shafts, minimizing friction between moving parts and fixed structures. The study involves comparing the casting process with two other production methods, considering aspects such as cost per part, required investment, mechanical strength, and market feasibility.
