According to IBGE (2022), approximately 8.9% of the Brazilian population have some type of disability, and of these, 6,904,745 have difficulties climbing stairs and inclines. The institute also reports that these additional challenges lead to differences in opportunities and wages, with around 34.1% fewer chances in the job market and over 15.9% of high school students dropping out, largely due to the lack of accessibility and infrastructure in public schools.
Therefore, given the seriousness of the issue, the construction of an attachable and adaptable ramp was chosen, which could help reduce costs and improve, at least somewhat, the quality of life for these individuals.
