Abstract

Solar energy is a growing renewable source, but its efficiency can be affected by dirt on the panels. This project develops an automated cleaning system using solar energy and low-cost materials such as PVC pipes, a solenoid valve, and an ESP32. The proposal aims to increase panel efficiency, reduce maintenance, and provide an accessible solution for small photovoltaic systems. According to research by WEG, dirt can reduce the efficiency of photovoltaic modules by up to 25%, depending on the region and the level of accumulation.
