Agricultural machinery is essential for the modernization of Brazilian agriculture, with a focus on harvesters, which increase efficiency in harvesting crops such as soybeans and corn. The market is dominated by international companies, which manufacture locally and are preferred for their quality and after-sales support. With the intensive use of harvesters, the demand for more durable and cost-effective components grows, especially in rotary and transmission systems, which are subject to high mechanical demands. Bearings, which support and guide rotating shafts, are critical in this context, facing wear, friction, and contamination. Therefore, the group proposes to analyze bearing materials to suggest a more durable alternative with better cost-benefit, aiming to extend the lifespan of harvesters.
