Abstract

The Flood Monitoring Device (FMD) project aims to develop an autonomous and sustainable solution for monitoring water levels during periods of heavy rainfall in the city of Sorocaba, SP.

The system uses smart sensors, solar energy, and communication modules to issue real-time visual and audible alerts, preventing accidents and damage caused by flooding.

The initiative aligns with the principles of smart and sustainable cities, integrating technology, the environment, and public safety.
