Abstract

The growing concern and the search for sustainable alternatives to improve water quality in urban environments have led to a solution that is quick to implement and has low maintenance costs. This is the case of Floating Wetlands, which consist of floating platforms capable of supporting plants. These plants serve to filter heavy metals and undesirable organic waste from rivers and other water bodies in the region.
