REUSE OF CONDENSED WATER FROM AIR CONDITIONING UNITS FOR IRRIGATION
Keywords:

Water scarcity is one of the major environmental challenges the world faces today, affecting many regions, including several areas of Brazil. Conscious use and reuse of water resources are essential to ensure sustainability and environmental preservation. This project proposes the reuse of condensed water generated by air conditioning units—water that is usually discarded—for irrigating small areas such as gardens, lawns, and home vegetable plots.
Although this water is not potable, it is suitable for irrigation, contributing to the conservation of drinking water and reducing waste. Water collection and distribution are carried out automatically using pumps and soil moisture sensors. The sensor monitors the moisture level, activating irrigation only when necessary, which optimizes water use and promotes plant health.
