Wearable Technology for Urban Inclusion: Integration with Smart Traffic Lights
Keywords:
Wearable technology, Urban inclusion, Smart traffic lights, SustainabilityAbstract
The growth of cities and the increasing circulation of vehicles and pedestrians require innovative solutions that ensure safety and accessibility for everyone. People with reduced mobility often face difficulties crossing streets within the time set by conventional traffic lights. In this context, the project proposes the development of wearable technology integrated with smart traffic lights, capable of automatically detecting the user's presence and adjusting the crossing time. The initiative uses established technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and RFID, applied in an innovative way to promote autonomy, safety, and urban inclusion.
