Abstract

Cruise Control (CC) is a longitudinal driving assistance system based on a closed-loop control system, as shown in Figure 1. Commonly known as an autopilot, CC compares the vehicle's current speed with the set reference speed, thus calculating the system error. If the error is greater than zero, the system accelerates the vehicle; if it is less than zero, the system decelerates the vehicle. This system is frequently installed in passenger vehicles.
