Accessibility is a right guaranteed by law and is essential for the inclusion of people with disabilities (PWD) in society. Among the measures that promote this right is the reservation of exclusive parking spaces in public and private parking areas. However, the improper use of these spaces by unauthorized individuals remains a frequent problem, compromising mobility and respect for the dignity of people with disabilities.
With the aim of combating this practice and facilitating enforcement, this project proposes the creation of a system based on personalized QR codes linked to authorized vehicles. The idea is that each person with a disability would have a unique and verifiable QR code that can be easily scanned by traffic officers or any citizen, quickly and securely proving the legitimacy of the use of the reserved parking space.
This solution aims not only to curb fraud but also to promote greater awareness, practicality, and safety in the use of reserved spaces, using technology as an ally in defending the rights of people with disabilities.
