MONITORING SYSTEM IN THE COMPOSTING PROCESS
Keywords:
Composting, Humidity, Temperature, SustainabilityAbstract
Composting is a biological process of organic matter decomposition that, in addition to significantly reducing the volume of waste sent to landfills, contributes to the production of a nutrient-rich compost, promoting sustainable practices in urban environments. However, manual monitoring of process parameters is often limited, which can compromise degradation time and the quality of the final compost.
The developed project is a monitoring system for temperature, humidity, and pH. For the prototype, a simpler temperature control was developed, using a sensor, Arduino, display, breadboard, and a soil sample.
