Porous asphalt
Keywords:
Porous asphalt, Urban drainage, Urban flooding, SustainabilityAbstract
The identified problem is the accumulation of water on urban avenues due to soil impermeabilization caused by traditional asphalt. This phenomenon worsens flooding, causes damage to infrastructure, and negatively impacts daily life in cities. The use of porous asphalt presents itself as a viable alternative, allowing water to infiltrate the soil, relieving drainage systems and recharging groundwater aquifers.
