Solar bike lane
Keywords:
Solar bike lane, Photovoltaic energy, SustainabilityAbstract
Our project aims to create a solar bike lane, in which photovoltaic panels will be installed beneath the ground surface. These panels will be protected by a layer of glass and will capture solar energy for storage and use, promoting the reuse of clean energy in public spaces. The goal is to reduce expenses related to non-renewable energy sources, increase local sustainability, and preserve public environments.
Notable examples of this concept include the SolaRoad in the Netherlands and Wattway in France, which, according to Johny Renoald (2016), represent promising ways to integrate technology with energy generation and urban infrastructure.
