Optimization of Phytoremediation for Contaminant Removal in Wastewater Using Wetlands (WCs)
Keywords:
Phytoremediation, Wastewater, Constructed wetlands, SustainabilityAbstract
The method chosen for this project was Constructed Wetlands (CWs), an alternative that stands out for its versatility and efficiency as a phytoremediation approach. This system simulates the natural processes of wetlands, combining different mechanisms such as filtration, sedimentation, adsorption, precipitation, biodegradation, and phytoremediation. The choice carefully considers the advantages and disadvantages of this approach, aiming for a balanced and sustainable solution.
