Thermodynamics in Emulsification
Emulsifiable Biopesticide Based on Citronella Essential Oil
Keywords:
Biopesticides, Low toxicity, Environmental impactAbstract
Biopesticides are natural pesticides derived from organisms such as animals, plants, bacteria, and certain minerals. They offer several advantages in pest control, including lower residues on food, reduced environmental impact, and lower toxicity compared to synthetic pesticides. Furthermore, they are specific to target pests, as they are formulated to combat only the infestations and not the crops, thus having little to no effect on beneficial organisms and vertebrates. The application of these products can even occur close to harvest due to their low toxicity and short waiting period.
