Abstract

The Flood Monitoring Device (FMD) project aims to develop an autonomous and sustainable solution for monitoring water levels during heavy rainfall in the city of Sorocaba/SP. The system uses smart sensors, solar energy, and communication modules to issue real-time visual and auditory alerts, preventing accidents and damage caused by flooding. The initiative aligns with the principles of smart and sustainable cities, integrating technology, environmental protection, and public safety.
