Abstract

The project presents an innovative proposal to enhance road safety through the development of a retractable and illuminated pedestrian crosswalk that is automatically activated when the presence of pedestrians is detected. This technology aims to improve visibility in low-light areas, reducing the risk of accidents and making crossings safer. In addition to prioritizing safety, the system seeks to promote efficient energy use and encourage sustainable practices, aligning with the concept of smart cities.
