Abstract

The growing concern and the search for sustainable alternatives to improve water quality in urban environments have led to a solution with rapid implementation and low maintenance costs. This is the case of Floating Wetlands, which consist of floating structures capable of supporting plants that, in turn, are intended to filter heavy metals and undesirable organic residues from rivers and other tributaries in the region.
