The accumulation of petroleum-derived plastic waste represents one of the major contemporary environmental challenges. In this context, the development of biopolymers emerges as a sustainable alternative. This project investigates the production of a corn starch–based bioplastic, evaluating its properties and potential as a substitute for conventional synthetic polymers.
